The Conspiracy Tree

How Conspiracy Theories Work: All Spread, No Depth

From September 2025 to February 2026, Candace Owens implicated an ever-growing cast of people, organizations, and governments in the Charlie Kirk assassination. Each time a thread went nowhere, she didn't dig deeper—she added new targets. The tree grows wider but never deeper. That's how unfalsifiable conspiracy theories sustain themselves: when one villain fails to produce evidence, summon another.

Explore the interactive tree below. Hover over nodes to see details. Click to highlight connections. Watch how threads spawn, stall, and fade—only to be replaced by new ones.

The Pattern

Notice how each dead-end thread (dashed lines, faded nodes with 💀) simply gets replaced by a new one. Tyler Robinson, the actual charged perpetrator, disappears from the narrative. The FBI, ADL, France, Israel, Erika Kirk, TPUSA, military intelligence—each becomes the villain du jour without ever producing smoking-gun evidence.

This is the architecture of unfalsifiable conspiracy: infinite villains, zero verification.
